About+

I was born in the midwest and recently moved to Oregon with my wife and dogs. All throughout school, I was a committed distance runner, participating in cross country and track every year. Since graduating high school, I have spent most of my working life gaining experience cooking in different restaurants. During that time, I was diligently working on my film photography, eventually building my own darkroom in the closet of my apartment and going on to display and sell my black and white photographs at multiple venues. I was looking for more meaning in my work, which is how I ended up as the head chef for the Patachou Foundation, a nonprofit serving kids healthy meals. I loved my job but I was ready for a change. I wanted to challenge myself and learn something new, which is what led me to enroll in the JavaScript bootcamp at Eleven Fifty Academy. Since then, I have completed the C# bootcamp at Kal Academy and have begun to pursue my bachelors in computer science. When I'm not writing code, you can find me hiking, running, thrift shopping, watching a bad horror movie, or exploring a new town with my camera.
